Gary Kirsten to meet Ashley Giles over England head coach role

Gary Kirsten will hold talks on the empty job of England head coach, Sky Sports News knows.
Kirsten is the top candidate to replace Trevor Bayliss, who stepped down following the Ashes series.
Sky Sports News comprehends the interview process is continuing and that Giles can also be meeting with other hopefuls.
The 51-year-old has past experience of training that is international, having appreciated in his profession.
Giles has previously stated his preference as head trainer, together with Chris Silverwood – the present bowling coach – regarded yet another front-runner as a result of his previous title-winning adventure at Essex.
Surreys Alec Stewart has also been linked with the role, as has the batting trainer Graham Thorpe and Ireland coach Graham Ford of England.
Giles will aspire to appoint a new head coach in time for Englands tour of New Zealand, which starts on November 1 with a T20 global in Christchurch.
