The University of Central Florida Knights have been around for a remarkable run because 2017 as part of their AAC’s rise into the dialogue about becoming a”Power Six” football conference.
Along the way, UCF had a win series culminating in an eight-point loss to SEC powerhouse LSU from the last season’s Fiesta Bowl and two seasons.
While the Knights are not even at the College Football playoff conversation (again) due mostly to their own strength of schedule, they’ve quietly turned into a spread covering system for bettors.
Throughout their 2017 campaign that is undefeated the Knights were 8-4-1 versus the amount and increased that victory to 9-4 ATS in 2018.
So far about the 2019 program under head coach Josh Heupel, UCF is 2-0 against the spread, easily covering a massive 44 points in dismantling??Florida A&M before covering 13.5 vs Florida Atlantic by a factor of 3 in a 48-14 win. That is precisely the Owls team that coated and scored 21 points against CFP rival Ohio State at Week 1.
Quick math tells us that UCF is 19-8-1 versus the spread since the 2017 season’s beginning and 11-3 ATS in its last 14 games. Only Fresno State (20-6-2 ATS) includes a better mark over the 28-game interval however they perform in the Mountain West and don’t get a lot of attention.
They Feel Disrespected and Take No Prisoners
Its fan base and this group have been very vocal from the scholarly conversation at a system that was certainly imperfect about the Knights’ treatment. On the field, UCF has embraced the”control the controllables” mindset and it is working on them.
Maybe Josh Heupel Only Covers Spreads
The Tigers went to complete the 2017 year old before departing Missouri where he was the offensive coordinator and QB coach. That means that Josh Heupel coached crimes are 11-6 ATS since October 7, 2017.
They’re Only A Great Football Team
Have we considered that the fact that the Knights are a soccer team that is competent?
This past calendar year, UCF ended with the 5th-most yards per game on offense and the No. 6 scoring offense. Defensively they were No. 24 in points against No. 32 in passing yards allowed.
So much in 2019, the Knights have the No. 23 scoring offense and the No. 5 scoring defense.
Per week, I am betting on them to pay Stanford and unless oddsmakers begin adjusting, I will be backing them.
