A recent trip to Australia revealed wane, emotional and inspirational for Ellen Keane plus yet another quite young swimmer…
What happened to this 24-year-old Sky Sports Scholar from Dublin…
I had been in Australia and also a father – that follows me social networking and lives in Sydney – messaged me to see when I would like to satisfy his daughter who has an arm .
Shes called Gemma, is nine and a swimmer and we proposed a surprise.
I headed down to Bondi beach with my very best friend whos we fulfilled Gemmas dad and a teacher. She had been at the water and that I shouted out to her Ellen Keane was ! . She saidwhat exactly are you talking about? And just looked at me.
I waved at Gemma and she started freaking out! Her response was simply priceless and so overpowering. It was so cute. My buddy bawled!
She ran back into the water and got her sister and she had been freaking out too 23, once I started waving at her! I got to talk.
It was all a beautiful surprise. She explained she adored looking at my photographs and she made jokes on her hands.
I agreed that it was great having the ability to make light of your arm and I told her that its amazing having something other people dont really have.
I feel privileged and lucky to be able to do what I do and fulfill with these little kids like Gemma.
