Gordon was suspended indefinitely again in December from the NFL for a number of violations of the league’s substance abuse policy.
There’s been no recent upgrade on the status of Gordon. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported back in February that Gordon’s rehab was going nicely and that there was a”chance” he could be reinstated by training camp. With camp coming down the pike, we’ve yet to get a progress report on Gordon out his lowkey casting sessions with Brady.
The Patriots re-signed Gordon to a yearlong, $2.025 million contract this offseason in hopes he could be reinstated throughout the 2019 campaign. All signs this offseason have pointed toward New England thinking Gordon will become qualified at some point or another. Finally, that choice comes down to the league office and Gordon’s progress.
