FanDuel MLB DFS Picks – October 17th

I published some FanDuel MLB DFS Picks yesterday prior to Game 4 of the ALCS becoming postponed, but with the match set to take place tonight, Ive tweaked my selections a small bit as we now understand who the starting pitchers would function the Astros Zack Greinke takes about the Yankees Masahiro Tanaka.
Lets dive in and see what we could do on this particular slate!
MVP — Gary Sanchez (NYY) — $5,500 vs. HOU
Theres no change here since milk all of the value we could get his bat and I still want to get Sanchez into this MVP place. As a I noticed Sanchez hasnt been a successful postseason actor to this point in his MLB career and is suffering a tough postseason , yet his power is undeniable. Sanchez clubbed 34 home runs in 446 plate appearances and only 106 matches this season and his ISO dropped short of .300 at .293 — a number to be sure. The fantastic news with this is that we understand Sanchez is going to deal with a pitcher tonight and his splits from the 2019 season favor such a matchup. The Sanchez submitted a .302 ISO, .867 OPS, .357 wOBA and 123 wRC+ to the season against pitching. Sanchez has not hit a house run since back on September 3rd (that he wasnt playing regular down the stretch), but he homered twice on that day and homered twice only three games before this on August 31st. The point here is that Sanchez has much multi-home run upside to the slate as any other hitter and at only $5,500 I will take his electricity and double it tonight.
All-Star — Aaron Judge (NYY) — $8,500 vs. HOU
Even though Sanchez has scuffled some in this postseason, this isnt the case with Judge who has also enjoyed lots of success in the postseason in the past and has had a postseason. Entering this one tonight, Judge is hitting .318 having an .889 OPS from the 2019 postseason. Throughout his postseason career, Judge is hitting .270 using a .971 OPS across 107 profession postseason plate looks. He will enter this you riding a three-game hit series with a home run to go alongside a walk and a run scored. Of course, there is plenty of energy within this series such as Sanchez above Judge might just reign supreme in that department. He also owns a profession .285 ISO, a number he fell just short of using a .267 ISO this year with 27 home runs in a 102 season matches. Unlike Sanchez, Judges breaks are traditional as he absolutely pummeled pitching this year — especially in the home — but also hit right-handers for a .251 ISO, .847 OPS, .354 wOBA and a wRC+ over the season. Given how the bat has performed along with the power on tap, I like the idea of netting 1.5x Judges fantasy points within this 1 tonight.
UTIL — Gleyber Torres (NYY) — $7,500 vs. HOU
Man up in this heap is Torres who is really having the postseason of almost any Yankee and is hitting home run like it is his day job in this series. Entering this 1 tonight, Torres possesses a .417 typical and 1.440 OPS because of hitting home runs, all of which have come over his past four games such as Tuesdays Game 3. Torres also has added four doubles while he is coming off a 1 to 2 with a home run and two-walk performance from Tuesday. Torres amounts were so slightly enhanced against left-handed pitching this season, no matter how the energy numbers were almost identical as he submitted a .256 ISO against righties and a .257 ISO. He hit righties to get a .258 ISO, .845 OPS, .343 wOBA and 115 wRC this year. While I went to have him in this lineup regardless the fact, due to his recency that hes enjoyed plenty of success affirms his spot. As gone with a homer and two doubles in his career against the veteran 22, the youthful middle infielder. Add it all up and I want Torres inside this lineup for tonights Game 4.
UTIL — Giancarlo Stanton (NYY) — $6,000 vs. HOU
I dont care, although theres no promise that Stanton gets to the lineup . We all know hes available to pinch-hit off the bench in this one and when the Yankees are down in this game you bet Aaron Boone is going to provide a chance this evening to place to the huge slugger. If he can start, he is a lock at $ 6,000 me and that I would even look at swapping him Judge at the place to grab value. It is difficult to base anything off of regular season figures for Stanton since he played just 18 regular season games, but we can take a look out of that time at his 139 wRC + and see he was clearly a successful bat despite his injury. IU imply, it is Giancarlo Stanton. Yes, hes had difficulty staying healthy during his big league career, but he owns a .279 career ISO and boasts some of the very finest raw energy baseball has to offer. He has hit just .238 in his profession against Greinke, but he will have two home so the power remains with a .286 ISO and .857 OPS off of their right-hander. This price is simply too attractive and I would suppose that Stanton does indeed get into the starting lineup after yesterdays rainout afford him an additional days rest.
UTIL — Michael Brantley (HOU) — $7,000 vs. NYY
Michael Brantley has to discover his power stroke and he scuffled for much of the show against the Rays, but his bat is coming around at the ideal time for the Astros. Brantley is coming off a Game 3 where he went 2 for 4 with a walk and a run scored. That put him up to a .250 ordinary and .638 OPS for the playoffs, not terrible believing that he had been hitting .125 with a .250 OPS entering Game 5 against the Rays. I would like to have gotten more left-wing bats within this lineup considering the short porch in right field at Yankee Stadium the four Yankees teammates over only made a lot of sense to me considering price, power and recency variables. Against right-handed pitching this year, Brantley posted a .323 average, .226 ISO, .928 OPS, .385 wOBA and also a 146 wRC+. As Minute Maid Park in Houston is a difficult venue on right-wing power hitters, the numbers increased slightly on the street against righties. Hes likely to supply you with a skilled at-bats and he is extremely tough to strike , and we know the ball will be set into play tonight. Hes gone 5 for 19 (.263) from Tanaka in his career, but also with a homer and two doubles, good for a .263 ISO along with .826 OPS. He will put even more, or you, in the brief porch in right field tonight if all goes to plan.
